With over £250 billion collected through National Insurance and tax contributions, payroll and pensions play a significant role in the UK economy. The CIPP Annual Excellence Awards are designed to recognise the professionals responsible for the accurate, compliant and timely delivery of these services, and is the only payroll awards ceremony in the UK.

With the nominations announced in September, we were delighted to be short-listed for an incredible four awards; Newcomer/Apprentice of the Year for two of our team members, Project of the Year and Payroll Service Provider of the Year!

This year’s awards took place on 3rd October and were hosted by actor and comedian Hugh Dennis at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, with five members of our payroll team in attendance to represent Cantium Business Solutions. It was a fantastic evening and our team enjoyed having the opportunity to network with fellow HR professionals at companies such as Cintra and Workday, as well as key contacts at CIPP. Cantium also received a special mention for our recent Payroll Assurance Scheme accreditation.

Our recent insight highlights the importance for today’s organisations to choose a payroll provider that can not only provide a bespoke and personal service, but who can also be trusted to provide an accurate and secure service which you can rely on. To be nominated for these highly competitive and sought-after awards reinforces our dedication to compliance and best practice in payroll, and affirms Cantium as a leader in the payroll industry.

We’re excited to announce that Cantium’s Jordan Steggles was chosen as the winner of the Newcomer/Apprentice of the Year award!

Jordan received fantastic feedback for the impact she has had on the team, with the judges commenting that she had made a “massive impact in a short time” and delivered “excellent customer service“.

Jordan joined Cantium as part of the NHS Helpdesk Team in March 2019. Quickly developing a strong knowledge and understanding of the health sector, terms and conditions and payroll legislation, Jordan has worked to develop efficiencies in the team by improving systems and procedures. Cantium has built a service culture based on our four key principles; Fast, Connected, Customer Led and Insight Driven. Jordan and the payroll team work to demonstrate this daily, being responsive, reacting quickly to changing client demand and building great relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a positive and quality-focused approach.

Achieving this prestigious award and nominations demonstrates Cantium’s commitment to quality and delivering a first-class service, and to attain these within just over a year of launching Cantium is a fantastic achievement. We believe through our dedication to continuous improvement, and focusing on quality controls and automation, we will be strong contenders for the esteemed Payroll Service Provider of the Year award in 2020.

Congratulations to everyone that won, was nominated for, or whose hard work contributed to one of these prestigious awards!
