If you follow Cantium on Twitter or LinkedIn, you may have seen the news of our success at the recent Public Finance Awards – with Cantium’s ICT Delivery Team being awarded the 2021 ‘Solutions Partner’ award!
This award recognises a commercial organisation that has made an outstanding contribution by partnering with public sector bodies, and can demonstrate the transformative and innovative impact their teams have had on public services.
Cantium has managed Kent County Council (KCC)’s IT estate and over 8,000 users since July 2018. Recognising that their ICT infrastructure was ageing and hardware approaching end of life, they chose Cantium to deliver a large-scale digital transformation programme, enabling them to adopt a cloud-first principle and achieve efficiencies that positively impacted frontline services.
Prior to the pandemic, our ICT team created a reliable and responsive solution to enable the protection of KCC’s lone workers by ensuring connectivity in all locations. This meant that when COVID-19 hit, we were able to seamlessly adapt to a remote working model within a matter of hours, without interruption to critical frontline services.
Cantium has a track record of successfully delivering digital transformation projects for the public sector, driving efficiencies and savings for local authorities through the delivery of cloud transformation projects. We are proud to be leading the delivery of a significant transformational change for the health and social care system in Kent and Medway, enabling health and social care professionals to access a shared data record of individuals requiring care or treatment. This will bring a new, collective approach for the health and social care system in the area – enabling better co-ordination of care, improved clinical decision-making, faster and more efficient hospital discharge and transfers of care, and ultimately, more successful outcomes for patients.
With the awards highlighting how inspiration, innovation, and talent has pushed the public finance and governance sectors forward, it’s fantastic to be recognised as a leader in these fields. We look forward to next year’s awards, and the opportunity to further demonstrate the work our teams are doing to support our customers and improve public services.
