If you follow Cantium on Twitter or LinkedIn, you may have seen that our team were recently awarded a ‘highly commended’ accolade in the ‘Solutions Partner’ category at the 2022 Public Finance Awards!
This category recognises commercial organisations that has made an outstanding contribution by partnering with public sector bodies, and can demonstrate the transformative and innovative impact their teams have had on public services.
Awarded to our Kent and Medway Care Record (KMCR) team for their work on the KMCR project, which formed a crucial part of the digital transformation of both Kent’s health and social care. This project brings together patient data across hundreds of health and social care organisations in Kent and Medway, for the direct benefit of the 2.1 million citizens. By providing health and care professionals with a single view of patient records, the KMCR improves the safety, accuracy, speed and quality of care provided. You can find out more about how the project is making a difference to NHS and Social Care Staff here.
Cantium were in fact shortlisted twice in the ‘Solutions Partner’ category – the second entry being for our work in supporting Kent County Council and Medway Council to Deliver Their Digital Inclusion Programme. By working in partnership with Kent and Medway, Cantium’s digital experts designed a solution that enables access to vital services, including health visiting, maternity services, social prescribing and substance misuse. Because of this project, these service users can now engage with services while increasing their digital skills, capabilities and confidence. You can read more the project and how it’s working to help the citizens of Kent and Medway here.
Another highlight of the evening, Cantium’s Simon Austin presented our sponsored award, ‘Public Finance Leader of the Year’, to winner, Paul McKevitt (Chief Officer and Council Treasurer, NHS Wigan Borough CCG and Wigan Council), who also picked up the highly acclaimed, ‘Grand Prix’ overall winner award.
Cantium has a track record of successfully delivering digital transformation projects for the public sector, driving efficiencies and savings for local authorities through the delivery of cloud transformation projects. We are proud to be leading the delivery of a significant transformational change for the health and social care system in Kent and Medway. This will bring a new, collective approach for the health and social care system in the area – enabling better co-ordination of care, improved clinical decision-making, faster and more efficient hospital discharge and transfers of care, and ultimately, more successful outcomes for patients.
Now in their sixth year, these awards showcase how inspiration, innovation, and talent has pushed the public finance and governance sectors forward over the last year, and it’s fantastic to be recognised as a leader in these fields. We look forward to next year’s awards, and the opportunity to further demonstrate the work our teams are doing to support our customers and improve public services.
